Meet Me in St. Louis

An amusing and insightful article from the July 12, 1954 issue of Life Magazine on the 50th anniversary of one of the first cross-county automobile tours in 1904.  NYC to St. Louis.  You couldn't just hop onto the freeway back in those days.

It's a rather long article, but it's worth reading.

The world's first hybrid automobile goes on show again - 111 years later:
from Gizmag.

I made a post the other day about the Porsche-Lohner hybrid from 1902.   As I was going through the last few days of Gizmag, guess what I found?

Porsche has created a reproduction of the Porsche-Lohner series hybrid.  No word on when it hits the showrooms.
